I can't find the lock showing your site is secure. Where is it?

Our site is verified by: GoDaddy.com, Inc. High- grade Encryption AES-256 , 256 bit keys.
It used to be that there was a lock found at the bottom of secured sites once you where in the checkout page entering your personal information. But all the different web browsers have recently changed this. It is now found in a verity of places depending on which web browser you use.

Most Internet users identify an "https://" prefix in the URL and a key or padlock icon in their browser's status bar as indicators that a page within a website is secure.

An SSL-encrypted session usually starts once a visitor signs in to a secure area of a website, such as the checkout or account-management area of an online store.

If you are use Firefox you will find the security information/icon in the address bar just to the left of the https. There will be a blue or green bar. Once you click on this bar it will give you the information showing the security information.

If you are using Safari with Windows or Mac you will see a lock in the very upper right hand corner or to the right of the address bar depending on which version you are using.

If you are using Internet Explorer it will again be found to the right of the address bar.

How often should I change my vacuum bag?

This may seem like a strange question. Most would reply, "When it's full." But most manufactures recommend when its 3/4 full. An overly full bag can cause your vacuum to loose much needed suction. Also a overly full bag has a much greater change of ripping open and causing a huge mess. This will happen no matter how strong your bags are.

But another word of caution we would like to add is this, maybe you don't have a full bag but do to lack of use the bag has been sitting around for months with debris in it. We have customers that brag that they can get 3 bags to last a whole year! Sounds great but the bag can end up malfunctioning due to this long term use. The stuff we suck up can contain moisture. This moisture does not dissipate. It instead molds and grows inside the vacuum bag. This moisture can cause bad smells from the bacteria and also make the glue holding the cardboard on your vacuum bag to the paper to release. So next time you decide to use your vacuum the bag becomes detached. This again causes a big mess. So to increase the life of your vacuum and the life of those living in your home we recommend changing your bags more often. We also recommend keeping any unused bags in a sealed container to prevent them from soaking up smells or unwanted moisture just sitting around waiting to be used. Use a zip lock bag or a plastic tote.

Most vacuum manufactures recommend every 3 to 9 months. You can sometimes purchase washable filters depending on your model of vacuum. What does "Aftermarket Replacement" mean?

Basically it means "Generic" not Genuine.

If the item does not say GENUINE it's not Genuine.

Companies like Envirocare Technologies makes a very high quality vacuum bag that is not compromised by the cost. You may be looking at a vacuum bag that is still high filtration/micro-filtration and high quality. Sometimes the aftermarket replacement is better then Genuine and always cheaper in cost.

If you are questioning a vacuum bag as to quality, or if its Genuine, or Replacement please email us before purchase.

What is a "Synthetic" cloth style vacuum cleaner bag?

This is a man made material that will not allow bacteria growth and is a bag designed for the highest filtration. It is used instead of your regular paper bag. It is not to replace your cloth outer bag. These bags fit differently then a regular paper bag. Due to the fact that they don't have any folds in them.

Some Genuine Brands are making bags in this type. Like the Kirby G6, Ultimate G & Sentria Filtrete 3M Allergen Reduction Vacuum Bags Genuine Or the Panasonic Type U-10 / U10 Teflon HEPA Vacuum Cleaner Bags Genuine. To name a few.

We also carry 2 aftermarket brands that are very high quality bags.

ALLERGEN PERFORMANCE VACUUM BAGS: Ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers! With advanced fiber filtration. Traps up to 100% of dust, pet dander, mold and pollen without losing suction.

(1) 3 Ply construction is stronger than paper. Will not tear during use.

(2) Improved vacuum performance minimizes loss of suction as bag fills.

(3) Synthetic Fiber Media will not support the growth of mold, fungus or bacteria.

ENVIROCARE ANTI-ALLERGEN VACUUM BAGS: Made from synthetic material that offers 99.9% filtration trapping microscopic particles and allergens. Anti – Allergen Vacuum bags are stronger than paper, won't tear and offer better airflow for enhanced vacuum performance. Made by Envirocare Technologies.

Bagged vacuum cleaners VS. Bagless Vacuum Cleaners. What's Better?

We have many people asking which vacuums are better. So here are a couple things to consider.

Many people think by buying a bag-less they no longer have spend money on replacing bags. But remember most if not all bag-less vacuums require filters. Sometimes you can have up to 3 filters or more in your vacuum. These are recommended to be changed by most manufactures every 3 to 6 month depending on use. This can be just as expensive as bags to replace. There are sometimes washable filters available which last a little longer. But be careful to allow them to dry completely before you put them back in to your vacuum. Some companies out there are promising that you will never have to buy filters ever. We have not see this to be the case. Filters pick up smells after a while and once this happens the air that blows out into the room smells too. Some manufactures will simply tell you to go and get your vacuum serviced at which that time the service department will replace your filters. This service is hardly ever free.

But we also have seen some who never have changed there filters or knew they even had any in their vacuum. There are many bagged vacuums that have great suction and HEPA filtration.

The choice is always up to the consumer. But as a recommendation look at the vacuum you are interested in and do some research before you buy. How much are replacement bags or filters? Are they readily available? Is the company one that I have heard of? What are they promising? Lifetime service? Where? What if that place closes where’s the next closest shop? Some vacuums are built almost throw away now days? And you can’t always tell by the price. Take your time. A vacuum can be a big investment. One you either are happy about years down the road or regret only after a couple months.

You may be thinking it’s just a vacuum. But remember you are trying to eliminate germs and allergens in your home and if the vacuum is not doing the proper job your not doing a good job either. A good vacuum can mean a healthier family and result in a happier home.

Why can't I find my bags or filters in the department store I bought it at?

Most department stores like will carry replacement filters for a limited time. But once something new comes out they only carry filters for the new vacuums. That why we are available to you, you can buy vacuum bags and filters for the life of the vacuum. We have customers that vacuums are 40 plus years old. If you give email us the model number of your vacuum we can see if we already have the filters available and if we carry an aftermarket version. These are usually the same quality or better in some case, but a better price.

How do the different vacuum cleaner brands and styles differ from each other?

ENVIROCARE VACUUM BAGS: Made by Envirocare Technologies. They make a variety of vacuum bags types to choose from. All of there bags are of the highest quality manufacturing. The big difference between them is the filtration. We will list them from OK to BEST in filtration.

OK FILTRATION* ENVIROCARE STANDARD FILTRATION VACUUM BAGS - We do carry Non-filtration vacuum bags due to the needs of you the customer. They are located with the other bags. These bags are not a high filtration vacuum bag. However they are still a high quality replacement but not great for allergy sufferers or people who want to extend the life of their vacuum. This vacuum bag is designed just to hold the dirt till you dump it and provide a bag that is low cost to the customer. You can recognize these bags by there single colored packaging and large writing going up the left side reading “DUST BAGS”. They do have the Envirocare label but not in the bright orange color found on the higher quality vacuum bags. Please keep in mind there is also the DVC brand and they also make a standard filtration in which meets the same quality and filtration type. On certain bag types we can only get one company or the other. But they both offer top quality products.

GOOD FILTRATION** ENVIROCARE MICRO - FILTRATION PAPER VACUUM BAGS- This version is a much higher quality filtration vacuum bag then the standard. This multi layer paper bag tests at 99.7% filtration. It traps microscopic particles and allergens. It will provide you with great filtration and still help out the budget. We carry this quality in a multitude of Brands and Models. We sell them in cases and in different size singles packages to fit any budget. You can spot them by their blue and white packaging with the bright orange Envirocare label. These bags also have the Enviro-closure that seals around the bag opening. Basically it covers over the hole when you remove the bag, so dust does not blow out when you are taking it to the trash. We highly recommend this company and the bags they produce.

MICRO-LINED VACUUM BAGS: Made by DVC. This company has been in the vacuum bag business a long time and they make a great aftermarket paper vacuum bag. 2-Ply Filter System bag captures Microscopic Particles, Germs, and Bacteria as small as 0.1 Micron. 99.7% Filtration. Doubles Effective Bag Capacity. Great brand to purchase in a case for extra savings. Again they produce a very comparable bag to the envirocare brand.

BETTER FILTRATION** ENVIROCARE ANTI-ALLERGEN VACUUM BAGS- These are terrific vacuum bags. These are the bags we personally use in our vacuums. These bags offer 99.9% filtration trapping microscopic particles and allergens. Basically they keep the dust in the bag and out of your air. This cuts down on another chore most people would like to do less of, dusting. Also if you have animals we have found it cuts down on the smells that escape into the air from most paper bags. They are made from synthetic material that resembles cloth but still is easily recycled like paper. The Anti – Allergen Vacuum bags are stronger than paper, won't tear and offer better airflow for enhanced vacuum performance. They are available in many of our vacuum sections for a lot of Makes and Models. They are easy to pick out in their bright green packaging with the bright orange Envirocare label. All around we found these to be a great choice of a high quality aftermarket vacuum bag. Very compare to genuine synthetic cloth bags but the Anti-Allergen bags sell for usually half of the cost of the similar genuine vacuum bags. And they usually come in a larger quantity than Genuine. Try them out today you won’t be sorry.

ALLERGEN PERFORMANCE VACUUM BAGS: They are made by DVC. And are perfect for asthma and allergy sufferers! They are a 3 Ply construction that is stronger than paper which prevents tearing during use. The cloth like material improves vacuum performance by minimizing loss of suction as bag fills. They are buyer favorite because the Synthetic Fiber Media will not support the growth of mold, fungus or bacteria. So if you don’t want to conduct any science experiments with what you vacuumed up last week try these wonderful bags. It’s a healthy choice for any family.

BEST FILTRATION** ENVIROCARE HEPA VACUUM BAGS These are the Anti-Allergen vacuum Bags with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtration system added. HEPA is the name for a special weave of fibers that creates a bag that remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micrometers in diameter. This synthetic cloth style of vacuum bag will not allow bacteria growth. You can recognize these bags by their black and white packaging with the bright orange Envirocare label. Usually sold in a box instead of the normal plastic packaging. All of the above listed Envirocare Brand vacuum bags have one of a kind Enviro-closure that seals around the bag opening. This is a great feature because instead of removing the bag from your vacuum and possible having some of the dirt escape on your trip to the garbage, it has a sticker like tab that once you remove the backing covers the opening in the bag and prevents a mess.

GENUINE BRAND VACUUM BAGS: Genuine bags can come in a variety of filtration types. Look carefully at the product description. We will list if the bag is a high filtration. If you have allergies look for something that says “HEPA”, “ALLERGEN REDUCTION” or has "MICRO" in the title. If it does not mention a type of filtration it may be that it is just a standard paper bag. If you want to prevent bacteria and germs from being passed back into the air during vacuuming we recommend a high efficiency bag. If cost is an issue as to the quality of bags you are purchasing you may want to check out our high efficiency aftermarket bags. They have the same high quality of Genuine but not the high cost.

We should note many companies will only warranty their vacuums during the first year or however long the warranty lasts for, but only if you use their Genuine bags and filters. But once that time has passed we suggest trying one of our aftermarket brands and save yourself some money. You can buy a better filtration bag, belt or filter and buy more quantity in aftermarket. And as we try to let our customers know a bag that is changed when it is 55 to 75% full keeps your vacuum suction at its peak and prevents your vacuum from getting harmful dust into its motor causing damage.
