How often should I change my vacuum cleaner filter?

Most vacuum manufactures recommend every three to six months. You can sometimes purchase washable filters depending on your model of vacuum. They last longer but still need to be replaced; it depends on how often you wash it and how much you vacuum. Make sure to let it dry completely before storing it back in your vacuum.
